O'Reilly attacks the president for supporting the Islamic Center in Manhattan. He justifies his attack by citing the fact that the attackers were Muslims, the 9-11 families (according to him) are against the project, and 70% of Americans are against it.
There are times when majorities should carry the day in America and times they shouldn't. This majority is an ugly one, and right wing politicians are pandering to it because it's the political season. It's an ugly situation and it's one this blog will have much to say about in the coming weeks and months.
Whoopie Goldberg and Joy Behar walked off the set after O'Reilly connected Islam with the attacks too closely.
